Willkommen in der offenen Filzwerkstatt!

Im Juli lädt der StoffwechselReparaturClub Dienstags und Donnerstags von 16 bis 20 Uhr im Rahmen von COMMON ROOMS zum Open House Warming auf die beschattete Terrasse der FLUCC Marina.

Lernt das FLUCC von seiner nachmittags-gastlichen Seite kennen und kommt am 4./6./11./13./18./20.07.in unsere Filzwerkstatt: Gemeinsam erlernen wir in einem offenen Prozess die Kulturtechnik des Filzens. Die Künstlerin Ziliia Kanchurina aus der baschkirischen Community Russlands zeigt uns, wie aus Wolle Filz wird und aus Filz kleine künstlerische Objekte. Alles bei Tee und Snacks. Unterstützt durch die Künstlerin Nicole Sabella kann mittels digitalen Aufnahmegeräten ein Klangbild des gemeinsamen Prozesses entstehen: wie klingt Filz, wie fühlt er sich an, welche Geschichten hat dieses umweltfreundliche Material zu erzählen? Am 27.07. können die künstlerischen Ergebnisse bei einer House Warming Party befühlt, betrachtet und gehört werden. Kommt vorbei und filzt oder tratscht mit uns!

Künstler:innen

Ziliia Kanchurina ist eine multidisziplinäre Künstlerin und Bühnenbildnerin, die in ihrer Praxis u.a. Installation, Collage, Zeichnung, Malerei, Video oder Performance zusammenführt. 1992 im Dorf Yanybaevo in der Republik Baschkortostan geboren, lebt sie nun in Wien, wo sie sich an der an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien in Kontextueller Malerei weiterbildet. Durch die Erfahrung von Diskriminierung als Baschkirin in Russland, liegt ein Fokus ihrer künstlerischen Arbeitsweise auf dekolonialen Praktiken.

Nicole Sabella ist bildende Künstlerin und Kunst- und Kulturvermittlerin. Ihre oft kollaborative künstlerische Forschungspraxis verwirklicht sich an den soziopolitischen Schnittstellen von Körper, Sprache, Stimme und Raum und verdichtet sie zu so genannten Choreo:sphären (choreo:spheres). Ausgehend von feministisch-intersektionellen, performativen und oft kollaborativen Strategien entwickelt sie Liveperformances und performative Soundinstallationen, oft in partizipativen Workshopformaten, darunter PRO:TEST SOUND ORIGINATOR (seit 2016) oder das SHIFT-Projekt Versagen verlernen (2020-2021).

Welcome to the open felt workshop!

In July, the MetabolismRepairClub (StoffwechselReparaturClub) invites you to Open House Warming on the shaded terrace of the FLUCC Marina on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 8 pm as part of COMMON ROOMS.

Get to know FLUCC from its afternoon-hospitable side and come to our felt workshop on 7/4-6/11/13/18/20: Together we will learn the cultural technique of felting in an open process. The artist Ziliia Kanchurina from the Bashkir community of Russia will show us how to make felt from wool and small artistic objects from felt. All with tea and snacks. Supported by the artist Nicole Sabella, digital recording devices can be used to create a sound image of the joint process: how does felt sound, how does it feel, what stories does this environmentally friendly material have to tell? On 27.07. the artistic results can be felt, looked at and heard at a House Warming Party. Come by and felt or gossip with us!

Artists:

Ziliia Kanchurina is a multidisciplinary artist and set designer whose practice includes installation, collage, drawing, painting, video or performance and performance. Born in 1992 in the village of Yanybaevo in the Republic of Bashkortostan, she now lives in Vienna, where she continues her education in Contextual Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. COMMON ROOMS ist der Titel der im Jahr 2023 neu initiierten Reihe ”Community based Art “, die ausgewählte Künstler:innen und Kollektive mit diversen Communities und Nachbarschaften rund um den Praterstern und darüber hinaus durch partizipative Kunstprojekte verbindet.
